Benzoyl Peroxide — Kills the bacteria behind inflammatory acne — one of the most effective OTC spot treatments, but drying and it bleaches fabric. The label states 2.5%. Works from ~5%. OTC cap 10%. Give it 4–6 weeks for inflammatory acne. Best for Oily. An antibacterial acne treatment that's effective but drying. Oily skin tolerates it best; dry and sensitive skin should spot-treat, not slather.
