receipts, not reviews · nothing ranked by who pays

Most skincare content is advertising in a lab coat. This is the opposite: evidence, doses, prices per unit — and what we'd skip.

Claim check, and what we don't know
The verification layer

Claim check

A product flaunting a hero active at a stated % is making an implicit claim. We check that dose against the concentration the evidence leans on, and back it with the paper.

04 · Evidence

What the derms say

Not our opinion, not a paid panel: the peer-reviewed record for each active, every paper with its PMID.

The truth limitation

We say what we don't know. Skincare science is still moving, and where there's no conclusive evidence for a claim we state that plainly rather than inventing a narrative. Our loyalty is to the evidence, not the outcome — which is also why a product we flag earns us nothing.
